After qualifying in Nigeria in 1984, Olakunle worked in the Nigerian Army as a General Dentist and attained the rank of Major before coming to the UK to further his training in Oral Surgery. Having worked in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery units in Blackburn, Bolton Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Odstock Oral Surgery and Plastic Surgery Unit in Salisbury, he has gained extensive experience in hospital patient management and treatment.
Olakunle then went back into General Dentistry and Oral surgery on the high street in 1997 in London.
During these years of hospital training, Olakunle gained the Fellowships in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England , the LLM (Legal Aspects of Medical Practice) from Cardiff University in 2008. He was admitted by the General Dental Council to the Specialist List in Surgical Dentistry and later to the Specialist List in Oral Surgery.
Olakunle currently works in Oral Surgery in various dental practices in and around London, especially in the South East London and Kent areas. Olakunle holds the Fellowship of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Olakunle is also a member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons,and the Association of Dental Implantology.
He is happily married with children.
